including u.s. ambassador chris stevens. ambassador rice has been accused of lying to protect the white house during five television appearances later that week. she blamed the attack on protesters who were angry about a movie when, in fact, the attack was planned and executed by terrorists with ties to al qaeda. the administration now believes. last night rice tried to clarify in a letter to congress it says, quote: i relied solely and squarely on the information and intelligence community provided to me. a group of republicans led by senator john mccain responded quickly saying either the obama administration is misleading congress and the american people or it is blaming the entire failure on the intelligence community. we go to a fox news alert for you right now. a hook-handed, one-eyed terrorist suspect is on a plane head to the united states to face charges. sounds like a cartoon. abu al masri headed to the united kingdom. they wanted to open a training camp in the hills of oregon. he lost both his hand and an eye back in the early 1990 while waging jihad in afghanistan. if

, i guarantee you that it won't be before the election. look, this is serious stuff. chris stevens' diary clearly indicated he was concerned. apparently there was some 13 warnings about the security there. but the most outrageous thing, my dear friends, is that five days after it was clear that this was a terrorist attack with mortars and rocket propelled grenades, they trotted out the u.n. ambassador who said this is a spontaneous demonstration bread by a hateful video. now, that is one of the most disgraceful performances i have ever seen. first year cadet at west point would have told you that that was -- you know, there is -- people sitting around benghazi, grab your mortar, honey, we're going to a spontaneous demonstration. >> gretchen: but senator, looking ahead then to these next debates, i don't know if the president will have it any better off because foreign policy, when we start talking about this, when mitt romney starts talking about it or the moderator, there is going to be a lot of questions to answer and it may be the first time that the president is forced to answe

the deadly 9/11 raid at at consulate in benghazi, that killed u.s. ambassador stevens, and sean smith, glenn doherty and tyrone woods. we don't have a complete list, but we have an information what mr. wood will say. cbs it reporting that he met with ambassador stevens just about every day between february when his mobile security deployment team until august when he left just about a month before the deadly raid which was reportedly about the time his team's mission was over. and wood told cbs that it's unbelievable to him, that his team was pulled out of libya, given the fact that he says he was constantly trying to demonstrate to the state department how dangerous, volatile and unpredictable things were in libya, as for the investigation on the ground, the fbi says they continue to coordinate with the state department, justice department and the defense department it figure out exactly what happened and who was responsible. but remember that the fbi wasn't able to get boots on the ground there for about three weeks after the raid when they'd already left the country. back to

under the bus and need a change of direction. >> brian: you said when ambassador stevens lost his life he was torteured. >> i have reports that the body was torteured. it is not a pleasant thing to talk about. and seals that were there were not part of the security force and on a different mission and the seals run to the sound of fire. they did their job and duty and were great americans and unfortunately it was not a spontanous attack when ambassador rice said it was a spontanous even and our relationship with israel and never been better. that is misleading. our relationship with israel is strained . they are preparing to do a unilateral attack and our position over seas is dangerous and fragile. >> brian: we understand that intercepts show groups were talking to each other and bragging after the killing of four americans, including the ambassador and two navy seals and it makes it seem that an operation is under foot and it seems there is a special operation to go get these goys. would you support that? >> absolutely. you have to show leadership and policy of appeasement of ap

officer actually shut that down. steven haze who is also a fox news contributor spoke about the seriousness of the developments last night on special report. listen to this. >> it is significant. we find more and more details coming out that are problematic for the situation and suggest we aren't getting the entire story from the outset. you had susan rice and others who are suggesting that the consulate was as well secured as it could have been not only security contractors on the ground providing security for the building itself but many members. made it sound like a big team. it appears that's not the case. we learned two other things in the past 36 hours that present additional problems. we have heard about this telephone intercept between al qaeda linked groups about the attack. we know that phone call took place immediately after the attack and the administration had access quickly after the attack. the question is, if they knew that if they had access to that information so quickly after the attack why wouldn't it shared with the american people? the commander the top gen

-qaeda conspiracy to kill ambassador stevens and the three brave hero colleagues in benghazi. so they are getting -- the libyans have a pretty fair idea of who did this. >> brian: you like the pace of this? >> the pace of it is frustrating. i am bitterly frustrated by the snail's pace of it. but you know, they did not want to compound the tragedy by sending the f.b.i. in there and getting one of them snagged or one of them killed. >> steve: there were documents all overt floor! >> the cnn reporters and others did a fine job of going through the remains there and taking ambassador stevens' notebook and everything else and so forensically, the site has already been compromised to a great extent. but the investigation is proceeding. we know and will know who did this. the question then becomes much more complex, what do you do about it? now you have this bubble, pro-american sentiment in libya. you have the anti-militia demonstrations going on. how do we attack now the people who did this to our people without turning that -- >> gretchen: so many unanswered questions because it was safe

a millennial, steven crowder, what is millennial first of all. >> i was using my phone and people my age, probably about early mid 20's, and the general age range, and first range, late 80's, through early 2000's, depends who you ask. >> clayton: we have a new gallup poll out, this is interesting on millenials and how they'll fall in line perhaps for prol, president obama. and for president obama 58% and you framed it this way, that they are selfish and that's why they're going to vote for president obama. why is that? >> sure, most people are selfish, not singling out millennials. we tend to vote in our self-interest and tend to vote the occupy movement for more free crap not based on the constitutional parameters of government, but found principles, but what the government can give them and because they're voting that way, they're doing it wrong. >> clayton: so health care, number one, a lot of people saying in that age range of 26 years old now on their parents' health care plan because of obama care, you think that could be a big factor? >> and the way to buy someone's vote in th

regarding the killing of ambassador chris stevens and three others at the consulate there in libya. now the director of national intelligence is weighing in. is he giving cover to susan rice for the administration's wobbling evolution on the truth? >> we may see how this argument is now about to play out. right? we had a debate on the show a little while ago. fascinating because i was hearing from mark lavine, radio talk show host. argument from the left that this intelligence may have been muddled from the beginning and they were making their way to uncover it this is what the director of national intelligence is now saying it was on us, basically, not the white house. read. this in the intermeet adaftermath there was information that led us to assess that the attack began response stainously following protests earlier that day at our embassy in cairo. we provided that assessment to the white house and men's of congress who used that information to discuss that attack publicly and provide updates as they became available. through the our investigation we continued to emphasize tha
